Chinese Vessel Zhenhua 36 Delivers Two Quay Cranes to Morocco’s Nador West Med Port

China’s Zhenhua 36, operated by Zhenhua Ocean Shipping, has successfully delivered two large quay cranes to Nador West Med Port in Morocco, marking another step forward in the development of one of the country’s most strategic new port and industrial platforms.

The vessel arrived at Nador West Med on July 29, 2026, carrying two ship-to-shore port cranes. Following berthing, the crew immediately began the complex operations required to prepare the equipment for unloading, including securing-system removal, equipment release and coordination of the discharge process.

Delivery Completed Ahead of Schedule

The two cranes were successfully unloaded and handed over on July 31 and August 2, respectively.

The operation was completed two days ahead of the original schedule, allowing Zhenhua 36 to leave the port on August 3.

Transporting fully assembled or oversized port equipment over long maritime distances requires specialized vessels, careful engineering and close coordination between the ship, port teams and equipment operators.

The successful operation highlights Zhenhua Ocean Shipping’s capabilities in the international transportation of large-scale port machinery.
